Creation of Music
Since I was a child music has made me excited, I always loved the way it made me feel. When I’m listening to one of my favorite songs or when I hear a new song that I like so much it makes me go crazy. By the time I was in 9th grade I started freestyle rapping with my friends and it continued in college, when things began to change was when I had an idea of writing my own rap songs. After I wrote to several Dr. Dre instrumentals I began thinking that I could be unique if I made my own beats. That is when the real journey began, I would stay up all night listening to the same sounds over and over again trying to get it to sound perfect.
I started to get serious and I wanted some help, I asked my best friend, Keith Howard who I would normally freestyle rap with to listen to some of my songs that I recorded over instrumentals. He liked what I was making and after a few conversations, we started a rap duo called “Natural Disasters”. We began making songs in 2004 and it was really fun to experiment with different styles and rhyme schemes. We knew we needed names and it took forever to come up with my name, “C4″ which symbolized my explosive style, later the name morphed to “C F O”.
